Aleksandra Luksyte is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Western Australia Business School.
She received her PhD in Industrial-Organisational Psychology from University of Houston, Texas, USA, in 2011. Through a Fulbright scholarship, she conducted research on cross-cultural application of employee motivation at UC Berkeley before her doctoral studies. Her research focuses on overqualification or underemployment and diversity in the workplace.
Since her tenure in 2011 at UWA, she has won approximately $100,000 in research grants. She published eight articles and two book chapters; she presented 30 presentations in international professional conferences for the past five years. In 2011, she was awarded the UWA Business School’s Ahern Early Career Researcher Portfolio Prize for the most outstanding early career researcher for the Business School. She is the co-chair of the Australian Industrial-Organisational Psychology Conference, held in Perth, July 3-6th, 2013.
