Shelley Meador

Shelley is Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resource Officer for Allegion, a global organization that helps keep people safe and secure where they work, live, and thrive. In this role, she leads the strategy for all human resources, communications, brand management and company reputation management matters for Allegion and its 11,000+ global employees.

Shelley’s experience and professional career has not always been in HR.  Previously she was the Vice President, Tax, for Allegion from 2013-2016, where she led the global tax team and was responsible for all global tax matters, including the development and execution of Allegion’s tax strategy.  In fact, Shelley started her career in tax over 25 years ago.  Prior to joining Allegion Shelley was the Vice President, Tax at Hillenbrand, Inc.  In addition, Shelley has over 16 years of public accounting experience, including Tax Partner in Charge of the Indianapolis office of KPMG.    

Shelley is the Co-Chair of the 2020 Indiana’s Go Red for Women movement with the American Heart Association.  She is also a board member of Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana and a 2018 W.I.S.H. (Women Inspiring Strength & Hope) Honoree. 

Shelley graduated magna cum laude from Ball State University with a B.S. in Accounting. She is a member of the Miller College of Business Advisory Board, Human Resource Advisory Board, and the Accounting Advisory Board. In 2009 she was presented with the Ball State University Miller College of Business Outstanding Alumni Award. 

Shelley and her husband, Bill, live in Fishers, Indiana and have five children and one grandchild.  In her spare time she likes to travel, exercise, and enjoy time with her family.
