Only in the past two years did the World Health Organization (WHO) classify workplace burnout as an occupational syndrome.  Traditionally, burnout is thought of as chronic workplace stress that has not been managed successfully.  But in the year 2020, burnout horizons broadened as parents became at-home teachers, family members became medical care takers, work days stretched well into the evenings, and all of us battled isolation.

While it may seem apparent the consequences of burnout for the employee, the ugly truth is that burnout has serious and long-lasting impacts on your organization and business outcomes. All organizations are at risk of losing their best talent and most engaged employees. However, there are steps you can take to protect your valued employees and your organization.
