4:15 PM The Resilient Self of the Learning Leader: How Learning Leaders Leverage Resilience and Prioritize Our Own Growth
Learning and Leadership Development professionals spend a significant amount of time developing others, but what about ourselves? How do each of us, as individuals and leaders, within our organization listen to ourselves and create the space for our own growth?
We’ll begin with an experiential exercise meant for us to drop into our own experience as learning leaders. Then, we’ll discuss elements of The Five Practices of Particularly Resilient People and the application of these practices to our own resilience as learning leaders including:
· Vulnerability: Leveraging an integrated self at home and at work to live congruently and overcome The Shame Bias
· Connection: Developing deeper connections and communities of practice to address loneliness and burnout
· Grati-osity: Stepping forward with both gratitude and generosity in order to share lessons learned and serve as a mentor in to cultivate greater empathy, honesty, and trust across the organization
