On the Space Coast of Florida, NASA’s Kennedy Space Center has been reinventing itself as the world’s premiere multi-user spaceport. Innovative partnerships between commercial space entities such as Boeing and Space X now cross-utilize the facility alongside NASA missions. The result is the transformation of a highly skilled workforce that supports both government and commercial entities to ensure the US is leading in space. To achieve this end, Digna Carballosa, the center’s Director of Human Resources has lead an effort to reinvent leadership skills as the Kennedy Space Center reconfigures its mission in a time of unprecedented global competition.
