Global Learning & Development Director Caterpillar
Kelly Wojda is the Global Learning & Development
Director for Caterpillar Inc, a $45 billion company in the construction and
mining equipment and power generation solution businesses. She assumed this role in January 2018,
leading the corporation’s organizational,
leadership and employee development functions, along with launching Caterpillar
employee’s experience initiatives.
Prior to this role, Kelly served as Director of Talent
Management for Caterpillar, leading the company’s recruiting, succession planning
and development teams. In addition, she
provided generalist HR support for two company executives.
Kelly served in other corporate talent management roles
prior to this, leading recruiting, diversity & inclusion, talent analytics,
and HR communications teams.
Before joining the corporate team in 2008, Kelly was on
international assignment for just under two years in Singapore providing HR
support from policy to payroll as Human Resources Shared Services Manager for employees
in five Southeast Asian countries.
Her HR career began with Caterpillar’s Electric Power
Division, serving as the global HR manager to employees in the power generation
group during a business turnaround.
Prior to this assignment, Kelly supervised Caterpillar’s media
relations team, serving as lead spokesperson responsible for executive,
financial and corporate-wide employee communications.
In her early career, she held facility communicator, market
research consulting and accounting roles within the company. She joined Caterpillar as an accounting
trainee in 1990.
She earned degrees from the University of Illinois in
Champaign-Urbana (BS Accounting) and Bradley University in Peoria (MA English). She served on the Peoria Academy Board of Trustees.
