Brandeis University - Graduate Professional Studies
Graduate Professional Studies (GPS) extends the benefit of a Brandeis University graduate education to a diverse working professional population, grounded in academic excellence, innovation, and industry relevance. We offer 12 master’s-level, 100% online, part-time niche programs including: Instructional Design & Technology, Robotic Software Engineering, Project and Program Management, Strategic Analytics, Digital Marketing & Design, User-Centered Design, Digital Marketing & Design, Software Engineering, Technology Management, Bioinformatics, Health & Medical Informatics, and Information Security Leadership. We also offer a post-master’s graduate certificate in Learning Analytics.
GPS programs and courses are grounded in learning outcomes that articulate the skills our students will be able to demonstrate immediately upon course/program completion. Our faculty are all active in industry and therefore living and breathing the most current trends and knowledge which they share with our students on a daily basis. Our professional advisory boards comprised of highly successful professionals in industry guide our curriculum in biennial program reviews. Eleven of our twelve graduate programs have STEM designations.
GPS courses are small by design, with caps of 16 and 20 students depending on the level. We offer four 10-week sessions per year, and students seeking a master’s have up to four years to complete the degree. Students engage directly with their practitioner faculty who build their courses working with our instructional design team. Our courses are asynchronous, enabling students to engage from anywhere in the world, while our web conferencing tools enable faculty office hours, group work, and presentations.
