Margaret-Ellen Christensen

Manager, Employee Engagement J2 Global

With a dual academic background in Animal Science and Communications that led into a 12-year career as a professional actor/singer/dancer/instrumentalist in musical theatre, Margaret-Ellen Christensen has never quite fit into an easily defined box. Transitioning to a career in HR, she worked in-house and as a consultant for NYC tech startups like ZocDoc, AppNexus, and Impact. An insatiable rage to learn and a “why” of building community helped her to rise quickly in knowledge and expertise in culture, inclusion, and employee experience. Margaret-Ellen’s heart and efforts are focused on building programs and processes that help employees be heard, be healthy, be happy, be themselves, and belong. She is currently the global Employee Engagement Manager for J2 Global, and lives in NYC with her husband and their grumpy old Boston Terrier, Louis.
