Vice President of Nursing Workforce Development Bon Secours Mercy Health

Excellence, innovation, and leadership are the three main ideologies that have shaped Dr. Bowie’s professional practice as a nurse excutive. Dani has served in a variety of professional roles ranging from nurse manager, business owner, to System Vice President of Nursing Workforce Development for Bon Secours Mercy Health. As the System Vice President, Dani is responsible for developing and executing the strategic nursing workforce plan focused on recruitment, retention, and the re-design of staffing and scheduling models for 15,000 nurses spanning seven states. Prior to joining BSMH, Dani successfully led an enterprise staffing and scheduling technology project converting 126 nursing units, 5000 end-users to new staffing and scheduling technology. While completing her doctor of nursing practice degree from Yale, Dani developed a nurse staffing and scheduling predictive model for health systems and has a patent pending for a forecasting model of inpatient nurse scheduling.
