United Airlines backs off lottery plan

United Airlines has decided to alter its course on a new employee lottery program. The lottery was meant to replace the airline's quarterly employee bonus program. Under the lottery system, workers who hit performance targets would have been entered to win prizes such as cars, vacations, and a chance to win $100,000. Employees did not respond well to the proposed change, which caused United President Scott Kirby to put a hold on the plan. To read more about this story, click here.
