Cisco Systems is a diverse cutting edge company.  It’s a great place to work and that’s just what employees have said.  But the company didn’t have a social media presence and thus realized attracting top talent was more difficult.  As a result, the company changed its approach to social media.  Through storytelling and fostering connections with current employees, the company grew its ranks.  Within the first six months of executing their new employer brand strategy, the company grew their Twitter followers by 400% and that’s just the beginning.

As a Senior Director in Human Resources, Macy Andrews leads Global University Recruiting and Talent Brand for Cisco.

With an amazing global team that recruits across 36 countries and delivers over 3.5K interns and new hires a year, their mission is to attract and hire talent in Cisco’s core and high growth business segments. The teams have developed a deep partnership with the business to develop unique recruiting approaches, execute differentiating event strategies, and create social media and digital programs to hire the best for Cisco. Macy is constantly researching, creating, implementing and measuring innovative strategies to enhance candidate pipelines and build employment brand awareness about Cisco.

Macy has been at Cisco for five years. Before her current position, she was Chief of Staff to the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) where she led cross functional teams across HR and the company to effectively execute on enhancing the HR strategy within Cisco.

Prior to Cisco, Macy has worked closely with the top executive teams while holding various positions in Human Resources, Executive Communications and Marketing within Intel Corporation, Yahoo! and Symantec. Macy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Southern California.
