Ellen C. Taaffe is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Management and Organizations department of the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, where she is also the Director of MBA Women’s Leadership Programming. She is a Board Director and Committee Chair on three corporate Boards, where she has led the gender and racial diversification of each board. Ellen is a TEDx speaker and executive leadership coach leveraging her 25-year career in senior brand management roles at Quaker, PepsiCo, Royal-Caribbean, and the Whirlpool Corporation. She holds an MBA from Kellogg and a BS from the University of Florida. Her book, The Mirrored Door: Break Through the Hidden Barrier that Locks Successful Women in Place, is available for pre-order and will be released on 10/10/23.

11:00 AM PANEL: Creating Inclusive Cultures for Employees and Companies to Thrive

To kick off the event, we will address the importance of inclusive cultures that support opportunities for all. We will explore how a company’s values are reflected in their actions. Our discussion will include the significance of DEI to multiple stakeholders – investors, employees, CEOs, and the impact upon various groups. We will also look at how leaders’ interpersonal communication can contribute to the desired culture that enables employees to thrive.
