Achieving effective upskilling and digital dexterity: How can better learning programs enable individuals to apply creativity, critical thinking and problem solving?

According to a 2022 Gallup poll, in the US alone, just over a third of workers are engaged in their jobs, the lowest number in a decade. Investing in personal and professional development of employees is critical from both a talent recruitments and employee retention perspective. More and more businesses need to reskill their employees as technology and digital transformations radically change how we work, where we work and even what work entails.

Furthermore, the pandemic has exposed management to new layers of complexity and pressure which requires leaders to transition their skills from managing employee performance to performance coaching.

But is the responsibility all on the organization and their leaders? What role does the individual play in this effort?

Sonia Malik will share how IBM is striving to upskill 30 million external individuals by 2030 through open access to learning and deeper level programming. This session is a must to understand how to emphasize the value in upskilling and the value the employee will receive as a result.
