Mike O'neil

Senior Vice President, Pay & Benefits Target

Mike O’Neil is the Senior Vice President of Pay & Benefits at Target Corporation, and is responsible for strategic development and program implementation for team member health and financial well-being benefits plans, as well as Target’s compensation programs. In his 12 years at Target, Mike has held various leadership roles across both Finance and Human Resources, collaborating with business partners across Merchandising and Operations to deliver on strategic priorities that create value for our shareholders, guests, and team members.   Prior to his time at Target, Mike worked at Alcoa, Inc. and Hewitt Associates, leading and consulting on Health and Welfare benefits administration initiatives.  

Mike has his B.A. degree from Allegheny College, in both Economics and Political Science, and his MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.  

Outside of work, Mike serves on the board of directors as treasurer at the Link, a non-profit with the mission of helping youth and families in the Twin Cities overcome the impacts of poverty and social injustice.
