Sandeep Chanana

Sandeep Chanana is currently based in Singapore and has extensive experience in HR M&A, change management and HR business partner & leadership roles. His core interests include various aspects of HR including partnering, transformation, M&A and setting up of new entities. 

Previously, he worked with IBM and Cognizant in varied HR roles. In 2016, he was instrumental in the transition, setup and growth of the “Rakuten India Development Centre” (the largest Tech Dev Centre of Rakuten outside of Japan) as their Head of HR. He was also actively involved in the HR project management aspect of M&A deals where he led due-diligence, integration and change management of people, processes and systems. He also performed dual roles as HR business partner for the acquired entities.

Mr Chanana is a constant learner with a target of acquiring a new skill every year. He is actively involved in mentoring. In his free time, as a PADI certified scuba diver he loves maintaining neutral buoyancy while diving in various locations of the world and is an avid traveller. He had served in the flying and administrative branch of the Indian Air Force after graduated from the National Defence Academy of India.
