Teleporting Into Virtual Training

Media hype surrounding virtual worlds comes and goes, but educational institutions and other entities have continued to leverage 3D platforms for virtual simulation and training.

This video, produced by Michael Kraten, Ph.D. CPA, offers a glimpse of a new program of online professional training sponsored by the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.

The program is delivered via the MACPA's virtual reality campus in the online world of Second Life. Instructors assume the form of avatars and deliver their presentations in a 3D interactive environment.
