At most organizations, the workforce is both a significant expense and the most important asset. In order to manage the workforce appropriately — and in turn to serve the business as a strategic partner — HR needs to implement consistent, integrated, and flexible processes and systems. In effect, HR needs to implement best practices that are supported and facilitated by integrated, robust systems. This research will describe how, by establishing best practices that are supported with technology, HR will achieve greater efficiency (by reducing the burden of handling administrative tasks) while delivering strategic value (by equipping managers with the right information at the right time) to the organization.
