I plan on giving my employer 3 months notice. I want to move back home to be closer to my aging parents. I'm giving 3 months notice b/c we are short staffed as it is and I want to be fair to them and help anyway I can in finding & training my replacement. BUT, if my employer decides to let me go the day I give notice, can I file a claim for unemployment since they let me go through no fault of mine well before the date i planned on leaving? I have planned on continuing to dutifully executing my job until the time to leave.
