I was recently layed off due to the slow economy but am on workmans comp. I have found out that because of pennsylvania laws they will be taking my workmans comp, out of the severnse pay I received. Why is it fair for me to pay for my own workmans

I was recently layed off due to the slow economy but am on workmans comp. I have found out that because of pennsylvania laws they will be taking my workmans comp, out of the severnse pay I received. Why is it fair for me to pay for my own workmans comp?
