We had a merger and the new company requested we sign new paperwork. This new paperwork states we cannot for a period of 12 months following the end of my employment that we will not work directly or indirectly as an employee for such clients with whom I did business with. I previosly applied for a position that fits this term prior to the merger. Does this conflict with what I have been required to sign?
