An employee in New York showed up for work as a dental assistant and was asked to fill in as a dental assistant on the dental van, which is part of her job responsibilites. However, she refused to work on the van with no particular reason. Her director sent her home, not because there wasn't any work in the clinic, but because she refused to work on the van. Do we pay her? Or is she suppose to use her own personal time? I read that we may be responsible for a minimum of 4 hours. She was told she was suspended, just to go home since she wouldn't work on the van where she was needed.
