Good morning,
I am recruiting for a warehouse position that requires consistant heavy lifting in a fast paced environment in Ohio. An applicant volunteered information about being on workers compensation on his previous job. I asked him if he could still perform the functions of the job I just described without restrictions and he said "e;yes."e; I also asked him, if needed could he produce documentation from the doctor stating that he could work without restrictions and he said "e;yes."e; From there I decided to pursue him as a candidate. So my questions are: was it ok that I asked him those questions, did I do the "e;right"e; thing in the eyes of the law and how much weight should I give that volunteered information in considering a candidate for a physical job?
Thank you for clarifying Workers Compensation for me.
Lauren
