	On May 12, 2010 the New York State Senate passed a bill "establishing a private cause of action for abusive work environment." In other words, this bill outlaws workplace bullying. While seemingly well-intentioned, this bill imposes additional requirements on already strapped employers, especially small employers, and may make it more difficult to let employees go.
