Jeff Bettinger is an award winning Sr. HR Executive known for leading cultural transformations that connect to the heart and impact business results. He is the “go-to” Certified Coach to C-suite Successors and their leaders with a track record of facilitating personal and performance break-throughs. He has led significant organizational change including most recently a $25 billion dollar spin of Alcon to an independent publicly traded company. His peers and team members have identified him as a once-in- a career leader for his collaborative approach and ability build inspired teams. His warm and personable style have created a legacy of team members that serve in leadership positions throughout the HR landscape.
Currently Jeff is on the Sr. HR Executive Leadership Team for Alcon, the world’s leader in medical device, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products for the eye. In his role he leads all strategic talent centers of excellence and oversees HR business partnership with multiple functions. During his five year tenure he has led the turnaround of Talent Acquisition from the worst performing HR function to the highest rated HR team. He and his team have created culture change that drove voluntary turnover to a 10 year low and triggered culture change at Alcon’s former parent company, Novartis.
Most recently he and his team have led all of the organizational design and change management during Alcon’s listing as an independent company on both the Swiss and New York stock exchanges. Previously Jeff held various HR Executive and leadership positions with well known brands such as Novartis, USAA, Petco, State Farm, and Wal*Mart. His experience through financial services, retail, pharmaceuticals, medical device and engineering have seen him and his teams recognized by local, regional, and national organizations for leadership development and culture transformation.
In 2018 Human Resource Officer Magazine named Jeff as a Large Enterprise Leader of the Year for his work in Talent Acquisition. Jeff is often sought out to speak on topics related to leadership, talent acquisition, career development, change management, and culture. He is also published on the topics of Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership Development, and Culture Change.
Jeff earned a Master’s in Organizational Communication and Educational Administration from Idaho State University and an MBA. Beyond this he completed graduate studies in Adult Learning and Organizational Leadership from University of Idaho. He is a Certified in Change Management and a Credentialed Executive Coach. He has worked across the globe coaching and developing leaders from the front line to the C-suite. Jeff has served as an executive board member for several non-profits tied to youth and personal improvement clauses.
