Taylor C. Nelms
Taylor C. Nelms is an anthropologist and ethnographer with nearly 15 years of experience studying consumer and cooperative finance in the United States, Latin America, and around the world. Taylor is currently Senior Director, Market Insights & Advisory Services at the Filene Research Institute, an independent, non-profit think tank. In that capacity, he leads the organization's custom market and commissioned research and growing consulting business. He previously led Filene’s original research strategy. Taylor received his PhD in Anthropology from the University of California, Irvine, where he also worked at the Institute for Money, Technology and Financial Inclusion. He also holds degrees from the University of Cambridge and The Ohio State University. He is a former Gates Cambridge Scholar and current Editor at Large (and former Editor in Chief) of the Journal of Cultural Economy.
