State of HR 2021

In late 2020, we surveyed HR leaders to find out how a wild year had shifted their priorities and changed the way they saw the future. With 2021 presenting a much different challenge and providing new hope for what the future might hold, we decided to take the pulse of the industry again.

We wanted to see how employers view of the future has evolved in light of the vaccine rollout, improving economy and return to work efforts. With more than 750 respondants across a variety of industries, this report uncovers how HR leaders are feeling about budgets, investments for the future, new technology and remote work.

We contrast the results of the survey against those of our 2020 end of year report and see that ideas of what comes next are changing. For example, 75% of respondants said flexible work hours would remain in place after the pandemic subsided. Now that it actually is coming to an end, 61% still remain committed to the newfound benefit.

Key takeaways:

  • Learn what HR leaders view as their most significant challenges going forward
  • See how the pandemic impacted HR, employee engagement and company culture
  • Understand what challenges HR faces and what sort of initiatives they're putting in place to address employee experience, burnout and wellness.
