Frontline workers were put in a difficult position during the pandemic that saw them become the subject of headlines around the world. Among them, managers faced particularly challenging times in bridging the gap between people on the floor and headquarters that were able to work remotely.

While frontline workers were lauded as heroes, many simply didn't feel like they were valued as such. To better understand this disconnect, Workplace from Facebook commissioned research based on conversations with 1,250 frontline and head office managers in Australia.

The research reveals why 55% of frontline managers don't feel valued and less than half feel empowered to make decisions. Readers will also come to understand what frontline managers really think about empowerment, culture and connectivity.
