Andrea Larsen is Chief Human Resources Officer for Advisor Group, one of the largest networks in the U.S. of independent financial advisors, serving more than 7,000+ advisors, and overseeing more than $260+ billion in client assets. The wealth management firm offers securities and investment advisory services through its subsidiaries FSC Securities Corp., Royal Alliance Associates Inc., SagePoint Financial Inc. and Woodbury Financial Services Inc., as broker/dealers, registered investment advisors and members of FINRA and SIPC.
Andrea joined Advisor Group in June 2016 to establish a standalone Human Resources function as the company completed its separation from AIG and began independent operations in October 2016. In her role, Andrea supports President & CEO Jamie Price and the company’s U.S. based workforce of 1000+ employees located in four primary hubs. She oversees a team of HR professionals accountable for developing and executing human resources strategies in support of Advisor Group’s ongoing business plan and strategic direction. This award-winning HR team delivers on talent acquisition, talent development, performance management, communications, compensation, benefits, payroll, HR operations, culture change management, organizational design and employee engagement.
Most recently, Andrea was recognized in January 2019 with an OnCon Icon award for HR Leadership and HR Ripple Effect. In May 2019, she was honored by HRO Today Magazine with the CHRO Leader of Distinction award. And, HRO Today Magazine also recognized Advisor Group’s VP, Talent Acquisition with the Talent Acquisition Leader of the Year award. In June 2019, Andrea and her award-winning HR Team were honored by receiving four American Business Stevie Awards: HR Executive of the Year, Talent Acquisition Team of the Year, HR Business Partner Team of the Year, and HR Team of the Year. Andrea is the proud leader of an outstanding HR Team providing significant and impactful HR strategies to the Advisor Group enterprise.
Prior to her role at Advisor Group, Andrea served for more than two decades as a Human Resources executive at General Electric, supporting domestic and international business units of GE Capital and GE Healthcare. She ensured pre-emptive labor and employment compliance, developed effective organization models, and partnered with GE officers to strategically manage organizations through difficult business challenges, while delivering on enterprise-wide transformation and culture change.
Andrea earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Services from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
