I received a written warning from my employer for being 1 minute late on 1 occasion, and 2 minutes on another. Also received a writeup for failure to notify general manager of employee issues. These are the circumstances: The security guard reported to the desk clerk on the 11pm to 7am shift that an employee was in the room with a guest. The employee's car was parked in front of the guest's room at 2:oo am. The security guard has specific instructions to report directly to his supporvisor, which is not me, the desk clerk. There is nothing in the handbook about what time something like this should be reported. The incident was reported at 7:00 am. As desk clerks we have specific instructions to notify the GM whenever the policy are called, in case of fire, flood, tornadoes, but nothing about such as I have described concerning an employee and a guest. I received the 2 written warnings, my hours were cut by 2 days per week. The security guard received only written warning for failure to report. Do I have any options?
