Can an employer legally ask an employee who was out on disability leave to pay the employer portion of a health insurance premium for the time they were out? ie: I had surgery and was out from 04/20/09 - 06/15/09 and since I didn't work the month of May, my employer has asked me to cover the employers portion of my health, dental, vision etc premiums.Can they do this. I am in California.
