An internal advert was posted for a higher graded position and successful candidates were selected on a three month probationary period. after the 3 months, the company felt that the position was not adding value to the organisation and decided to do-away with that post "e;new"e; position. The incumbents were reinstated to their previous positions, meaning that the salary and benefits of the "e;old"e; position now applied. Does it amount to an unfair labour practice, to then reduce the salary back to the "e;old"e; position? Or the salary of this "e;redundant"e; post ought to apply?
