One of our independent contractor agreed to go on a trip with a senior client. Half way into the trip she decided to quit. The family of this senior paid for her hotel and air fair coming back to California from Oregon. This independent contractor is now demanding to be paid from the time she quit to the time she arrived in California. She did not work or give any assistance to the elder client. The family refused to pay for services not rendered from the moment she quit. Are we, as an agency obligated to pay her even though she did not work. Thank you.
