My firm sometimes has requests to send work crews over the border into the USA to do work. This is because of the rural area we live in and the lack of qualified people in the area to help out when there's a lot of work to do in a short time frame (like repairing storm damage) so we're not taking work away from US citizens. We are concerned about doing this as we don't know the rules about working in the US but want to help out when needed. Can anyone tell me if they have Canadian employees doing occasional work in the US? What are the things we need to be aware of (tax, safety, employment rules, etc.)? Any information or tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance, Tina
