A number of corporations, both large and small, have had to eliminate thousands of positions. And in addition to a potential threat of losing their job, employees are given tremendous workloads. Because of this, retaining employees is currently a major concern for companies.

Making employees feel valued is the heart of retention strategies; and given today’s economic times, managing talent is crucial to maintain innovation and productivity.

Kelly Wilson, Director of Talent Management for CareFusion, leads engagement strategies within her organization that help leverage performance. "We know employees are struggling with workload and we need to help them become engaged with the work they are doing," Wilson said. "The more engaged you are as an employee, the better you perform."

Wilson shares with IQPC and Human Resources IQ the strategies that she has used to understand and measure engagement.
