Colleagues and myself are in a bit of a situation. There are 5 of us that are full time in the department and one part time employee. Over the past 2 months the part time employee has been receiving all the work and getting trained on everything new. The part time person has been coming in for 2 years to work an extra day, but this was to help out another department. She had a falling out with the manager she was helping and asked ours to give her work to fill in the extra day. Now spring and summer time are our slow times of the year for the whole department. So we have the full time employees that are slow with work looking for stuff to do and the part time person has all the work and is earning extra money to come in an extra day. I went to the boss and asked what the difference was between a full time employee and a part time employee. I told her that I was slow and keep asking to do work but the boss says she has nothing. She kept asking what i was talking about and I pretty much told her the above but only about myself. Her voice kept getting louder and louder and she yelled at me if I was questioning her management. Of course, I was not, only asking what the difference was between the two. The only answer I got was that we are all the same. Nothing was solved. She told me if i was slow then to ask the part time person if they need help. So the next day when the part timer was at work I asked her if she needed any help. I made sure the boss was in the area where she was able to hear me ask. The part timer said she had nothing to give me and that she was slow also. She went to a whisper and said to me "e;Do what I do, work really really slow, it makes it look like you are busy and then that is how I am able to have work to do on Saturdays for my extra day."e; I did not know what to say to her after that. The full timers all believe that the part time person should be on call for when we are busy and need them. But instead, she is there taking work, time and money from all of us. And we feel she is stealing from the company after what she said to me. We do not know what to do about this situation. The boss is not doing anything. What can we do?
