Everyone, from heads of state to heads of family, is talking about the critical need for customized job training for the next generation of workers.
A recent survey from Deloitte Consulting found 600,000 manufacturing jobs were left unfilled because companies could not find workers with the right skills for the positions, Thomas Hemphill and Mark Perry wrote in The Wall Street Journal. In other words, there isn't a shortage of work. There's a shortage of the right workers to do it.
