HR Exchange Live: Future of Work

The HR Exchange Network has announced its next online event:  HR Exchange LIVE.  The free-to-attend online event for HR professionals is set to take place on March 19-20, 2019.

With an unemployment rate at 4% in United States, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, HR professionals are being challenged to not only attract the best candidates, but also retain and develop top talent.

Where once HR ruled with the "one-size-fits-all" mentality, younger employees are rebuking the idea.  In its place they're demanding personalization rule unsurpassed.  Ideas like development, flexible scheduling, freelance (gig) markets and remote work are the building blocks of their mission.

With this, the new era of HR can be defined in five words:  the employee rules the roost.

HR Exchange Live: Future of Work addresses this changing paradigm.

"The HR Exchange Network is all about knowledge share.  That's the mission we're trying to accomplish with our online events.  And since those events are online, there's no travel involved and professionals can log in and participate wherever they are," Mason Stevenson said.  He's the editor-in-chief of the HR Exchange Network.  "With HR Exchange LIVE, we are bringing together HR, Talent and Learning professionals who are responsible for the HR strategy within their organizations.  Speakers, who are first in class, are holding sessions on making HR team members technologists,  how to engage a growing remote workforce, and the role of culture in employer branding."

Also part of the event:  a panel discussion on Diversity and Inclusion.  Topics will center on gender, race and age as well as hiring individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities and the formerly incarcerated.

"We're very fortunate to include some of the more brilliant minds in the HR space as members of the speaker faculty," Stevenson said.  "Johnny C. Taylor, the president and CEO of SHRM has joined our Diversity and Inclusion panel and Luciana Duarte, the VP of Employee Experience for HP, is going to focus on the remote workforce."

"Also speaking, Chelle O'Keefe, the CHRO for Associa.  She'll be talking about the importance of employer branding.  Dr. Jaclyn Lee is presenting on how to turn HR professionals into technologists.  Dr. Lee is the CHRO for the Singapore University of Technology and Design," Stevenson said.  "And we can't forget about Millennials and Generation Z.  Luana Matos, the CHRO for Nextel Brasil, is speaking about the challenges HR faces in supporting these workers."
