When it comes to learning, the focus is often placed on the course or the content while alignment to organisational strategy can often be overlooked. Businesses are currently sitting on a staggering amount of employee data and can readily access key metrics to help inform learning design, however they rarely do. Through effective use of analytics, we can derive valuable insights into the best ways to achieve optimal outcomes for capabilities. A rigorous approach to the use of data in learning & development can ensure that learning outcomes align to the businesses goals and assist in driving meaningful change in the organization.
For this session we are joined by Jonathan Kettleborough, Senior Lecturer in Information Systems Strategy at Manchester Metropolitan University, to discuss:
- Understanding the current position regarding the use of data in learning design and delivery
- How to ignore trends and buzzwords in favour of a data-driven approach to L&D design
- Utilising analytics to drive effective learning design, delivery, and management
