PANEL: Growing Through Acquisition - Overcoming Challenges and Opening Opportunities to Grow Talent Globally

“A crisis is a terrible thing to waste. So, if you’re in HR you, have an opportunity to make more radical change you might otherwise have been wanting to make,” Two Roads Hospitality SVP of Human Resources Robert Mellwig said. “I’m secretly hoping for some level of a downturn in the economy because I think it’ll give me a backdrop to do things that I’ve been hesitant or reluctant to do… because there’s real people at the other end of those implication and so, while our business my suffer in the short term I know it will create a backdrop for us to make more disruptive organizational change which seems counterintuitive.”

Mellwig, along with Christal Morris, VP of HR International and Corporate for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and EXCOPR CHRO Scott Alomes, were panelist at the 2017 Chief Human Resources Officer Exchange. It was held in May in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
