HR's position with many organizations shifted drastically during 2020, a year defined by turmoil and shifting economic circumstances that had a tremendous impact on people. 

With HR leaders now the center of attention at the leadership table, there was a lot of tough decisions to make and unforeseen challenges to address. Changing budgets, employee burnout, wellness and during times of layoffs and furloughs and in some cases, a complete realignment of business priorities made HR professionals adapt in ways they couldn't have imagined in 2019.
